I had my favorite soul mate pass on in Dec 2018. He was the finest kitty I ever had. And I have rescued or birthed litters of over 30 kitties. He was named Chester. His name was often mentioned by friends as being favored by all.
My soul mate, also named Chester, passed away on August 5 this year. He was killed by two stray dogs, and I am heartbroken. He was a big ragamuffin cat, 16 lbs, red and white with the best personality and protective nature. I will miss him forever.

I just lost a grey-point Ragdoll, after 14 years. I had named him Hunny-Bear He had such an amazing disposition and was a great daddy to his 3 kittens. I would always say , “Hi Hunny, I’m home”.when I got in from work. Best pet ever.
I have a female Siamese named Boo. She sleeps a lot. She is very loving and protective of me. I raised her from the day she was born. She does have a bad temper and when she was 14 weeks old she chased a herd of deer out of the yard. She chases dogs, groundhogs, cats. She won’t tolerate anything in her yard or her house. Got my shelter kitteh yesterday. He’s anout a year old and how a tuxedo cat would be black and white, he is tabby and white. He’ll bolt off like lightening for no reason (known to me). “Bolt”? “Rocket”? He likes to ‘make dough’ on my face, “Baker”? “MT” (massage therapist lol) He’ll grab and bite your hand while kicking your arm, scratching the crap out of you… “Trip”, as in trip back up the shelter? Just kidding!! It’s about 4am right now and he’s wide open! Hmmmm. My husband uses wideopen______ as one of his email accounts. And he dislikes cats (though he seems to be coming around a bit). How about “Wo”? Pronounced woo or whoa? He’s constantly ‘marking his territory’ with his face, “Mark”, “Marker”? .. It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet…and we have a lot to learn about each other. Who ever he decides to be I already love him with all my heart <3

13+ yrs ago I got my young daughter a kitten out of the add in the papper. He was a tabby cat well fastforwart a year a a go we had to put him to sleep he was very sick and they couldn’t do anything for him. The name my daughter picked out for that little tabby kitten that night was Thunder. And boy did he grow in to that name! When we moved in to our house and he got settled in, he established dominninc and ruled the the 3 block radious like a lepord on the prowl . And gurded our house furiously , no cat or dog came near our house or our walled yard with him around. It was actually funny to watch.

I had a solid black female found at about 4 months in October we named Elvira (Mistress of the dark). A solid while male with one blue eye and one green named Spook (very easily scared) I found a pair of kittens one orange tabby we named Rusty and his brother is buff/pale orange creamsicle my niece named him Snickerdoodle.

I recently rescued a male tuxedo kitten who was very sickly, but is now almost totally well. I’m having the hardest time thinking of what to name him. He is soooo gentle….such a good calm little boy.

I had a female black and white that was named Oreo and I adopted a male kitten who was found in a box abandoned on the side of the freeway. It took me a couple of weeks to find the perfect name for him, he became Pepe Le’ Pew, Pepe for short. The hardest part was loosing Oreo at 14 years, th 5 months later loosing Pepe at at 12. The two I have now is Moose age 10 this coming March (my grandpa always named his pets that he named Moose. Grandpa passed away the year before I got Moose. Then there’s my other male cat whose four that I named Tux (as in Tuxedo) who looked like he was wearing a cummerbund, but now looks like a weird black square on husband tummy. I’ve been around kittens all my life, even had a cat deliver her babies on me while I was asleep(I think l was around 7 when that happened. Love my babies they keep me company…

We just rescued a 4 month old black and white male kitten. We originally thought it was a girl, so we named her Zoe (which I love!) We’ve just found out that she’s actually a boy and I can’t figure out what to call him! His coloring resembles that of a cow’s. He is super sweet and loving, crazy active and curious. I recently just turned 60. I’ve had cats throughout my whole life. I’ve been without any pets for the past 3 years now & I’m going through Kitty withdraws. So I came upon this cat shelter & they had these 3 little babies only 3 weeks old left in a box to die that they rescued & were dehydrated & fighting for their tiny lives. Thank You to all who work with these shelters btw, saving lives & finding furever homes. Anyway, my furbaby is one of those kittens. I’m still waiting on him to get big enough to get neutered, just found out he’ll be ready in 2 weeks or less, so I can finally bring him home. He’s fluffy with the grey/black striped with the fluffy white bib, front shoes & back boots. He looks like a Maine Coon breed. He’s very lovable, let’s me play with his feet, rub his belly without trying to scratch me, & comes running when I call him, he’s very playful, but also laid back. Total Maine Coon personality & fetches like a dog. I’m trying to think of a name. So far I’m thinking: Sebastian, Gizmo, Cosmo, Chevy Chase, Sir Pounce-A-Lot, Catman Dude or “The Dude” (from the movie ‘The Big Lebowski’). Any further ideas?
Btw, when I first saw him & his siblings at 3 weeks of age, they had just rescued them the night before. There were 5 total, but one was already dead & another died that night, leaving just 3. I came the day after they rescued them. It was love at first sight for me & I’ve been patiently waiting every since.The woman at the shelter is also fostering him & his siblings & she & I have become friends & I go see/spend time with him at least once or twice a week. That way he’ll know me when he finally comes home. The shelter is a really nice place. None of the kitties are caged all the time. They let them roam freely inside. I really like that! It actually helps the kitties be more sociable. Most go back home at their foster homes. It’s a very clean facility & the kitties are well cared for! The foster mom for my furbaby has taken great care of him & his siblings & they’re very healthy & doing great now. They’re 7 weeks old now & I’m so excited that my little man will be coming home soon! ❤️🐈⬛😻
After reading various cat Apps, I’ve yet to come across my feline son’s name”Winston”, he was orange, when I adopted him,but his fur has turned beige . I’ve come to the conclusion,that his name has something to do with Sir Winston Churchill owning orange tabbies!
